An 18-year-old Star Blanket First Nation man, charged with Second Degree Murder, made his first court appearance yesterday (Mom), in Fort Qu’Appelle.
Shauntay Keewatin remains in in custody, and will be back in court on February 13th..
Officers from both the RCMP and File Hills Police Service responded to reports of an altercation at a home on the reserve on Friday (Jan. 31st) night, and found the victim inside.
The name of the victim, a 17-year-old boy who lived in the home, is not being released.
