Bear Pit Session Held At Municipalities of Saskatchewan Convention

Representatives from communities across Saskatchewan had the opportunity to discuss a number of topics with cabinet ministers during the Municipalities of Saskatchewan bear pit session.

Wakaw Mayor Steve Skoworodko voiced his concerns with Federated Co-op restricting card lock volumes on cards, which he says is affecting ambulance services and other emergency services in his area.

Premier Scott Moe says the illegal blockades around the Co-op refinery in Regina is what’s impacting communities with fuel restrictions.

Moe told reporters today that his offer of appointing a special mediator remains on the table, however he has yet to hear a response about his offer from either Co-op or Unifor negotiators.
