Jail Time For Cote First Nation Boy Who Admitted to Violent Home Invasion

A 17-year-old boy has been sentenced to jail time for a violent home invasion in Kamsack.
On November 3rd, the Cote First Nation boy, who can’t be named due to his age, was one of five people arrested following a home invasion that saw the victim robbed of 7-hundred dollars at knifepoint.
In Yorkton Provincial Court today (Wed), the boy was sentenced to 140 days of closed custody and 140 days of open custody at a youth facility, to be followed by 140 days of community supervision.
He must also provide a D-N-A sample, and abide by a 5-year firearms ban.
