Two Men in Crime Spree Case have Preliminary Hearings Set

Preliminary hearings have been set for two men charged in connection with a violent crime spree in the Punnichy area, back in May.
26-year-old Donnelly Nanaquetung, who faces numerous charges, including five counts of Attempted Murder, stemming from these incidents, and separate incidents in Regina, appeared in the capital yesterday (TUES), and was remanded in custody for a preliminary hearing, on August 31st.
24-year-old Jamie Munroe, who faces 13 charges, including Assault Causing Bodily Harm, also remains in custody, with his prelim set for the same day.
On May 22nd, police say a man was struck by a vehicle, then shot, on the Muskowekwan First Nation.
Then, on May 23rd, an altercation on the Piapot First Nation led to one victim allegedly being struck with a machete, and the other being chased to the Muscowpetung First Nation.
