Another Court Date for Punnichy-Area Man Accused of Vehicle Theft

A Punnichy-district man facing several charges in connection with a vehicle theft in Regina, was back in court yesterday (THURS).

On December 10th, 38-year-old George Longman, of the Punnichy district, and 30-year-old Chantelle Bird, of Regina, were arrested after the vehicle’s owner contacted On-Star, who immobilized it, allowing police to make the arrests.
Longman will be back in Regina Provincial Court on February 27th.
On January 28th, Bird plead guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and was sentenced to 99 days in jail, to be followed by 18 months of probation.
