Manitoba health officials say there are no lab-confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in the province.
As of Wednesday (Feb. 5) 10 tests have been completed and the risk remains low.
To date there are 5 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Canada – 3 in Ontario and 2 in B.C.
The Public Health Agency of Canada are recommending travelers who have been to Wuhan, China or Hubei province, the epicentre of the outbreak, to self-isolate for 14 days following arrival in Canada.
Common preventative measures for viruses and other illnesses include washing your hands often and covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
