The Saskatchewan government has appointed a special mediator to assist in the dispute between Federated Co-Op and Unifor in Regina. Labour minister Don Morgan has named well known negotiator Vince Ready as a special mediator to assist in the negotiations between the union and Co-Op refinery, with mediation to start February 18th. They have 20 days to reach an agreement, and if they can’t, the mediator shall provide the parties and the minister with recommended terms for agreement.
