Saskatchewan RCMP are stressing the importance of snowmobile safety after responding to two fatal incidents within a 28 hour span.
On Friday night (Feb. 21) Outlook RCMP responded to a report of a single snowmobile collision in the R.M. of Fertile Valley, where a 44-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Then in the early morning hours of Sunday (Feb. 23) Rose Valley RCMP responded to a report of a single snowmobile crash on a trail two miles east of Archerwill, where a 33-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
While both investigations are in the preliminary stage, police believe alcohol may be a factor.
