Youth Who Admitted to 2017 Cote First Nation Death Gets Jail Sentence Changed

A youth sentence review was held today (Wed) for one of two people, who admitted to a 2017 murder on the Cote First Nation.
The boy, who can’t be named due to his age, had his jail sentence changed from closed custody to open custody, for his last two months behind bars.
In April of 2018, he was sentenced to two years in custody, to be followed by one year of supervision, after pleading guilty to Manslaughter.
It’s in connection with the death of 24-year-old Freedom Gladue in March of 2017.
