Yorkton-Melville Tory M.P Cathay Wagantall has introduced a private members bill in the House of Commons seeking to end sex selective abortions in Canada.
It would create a new penalty for medical practitioners who knowingly provide abortions based on the sex of the fetus.
She’s calling on all parliamentarians to support the bill.
A previous private members bill brought forward by Wagantall, addressing violence against women that injured or caused death of an unborn child, did not pass.
