NDP Call On The Saskatchewan Government To Bargain With Teachers In Good Faith

The NDP is calling on the Saskatchewan government to bargain with the province’s teachers in good faith.
Opposition education critic Carla Beck says classrooms are under-funded, and teachers have voted overwhelmingly in favor of job action.
Education Minister Gord Wyant says talks are being held with a goal of reaching a new teacher’s contract, and he is very hopeful a deal can be achieved.
Wyant says a conciliation report will form the basis of the discussions with teachers on a new contract.
