The Federal government has unveiled an $82 billion economic stimulus package to help Canadian workers and businesses weather the COVID-19 storm. As part of that, $27 billion is in direct support to Canadian workers and businesses. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also says for farmers and primary food producers, they are boosting Farm Credit Canada. Trudeau said workers who don’t qualify for employment insurance can apply to receive the Emergency Support Benefit every two weeks for 14 weeks.
