A police chase near Balcarres, has resulted in charges against the alleged driver.
At about 6 o’clock last (Sun) night, Mounties got a call about a theft of gas and merchandise from a Fort Qu’Appelle Service Station, and the investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Regina.
About 90 minutes later, police came across a suspicous vehicle on Highway 310, north of Balcarres, and tried to stop it, but the vehicle fled, and a spike belt had to be used.
28-year-old Thomas Chartrand of Regina was arrested, and faces five charges.
