Balcarres Police Chase Suspect Appears in Court Again

A Regina man, charged following a police chase near Balcarres earlier this week, made another court appearance yesterday (THURS).
At about 6 o’clock Sunday (22nd) night, Mounties got a call about a theft of gas and merchandise from a Fort Qu’Appelle Service Station, and the investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen from Regina.
About 90 minutes later, police came across a suspicious vehicle on Highway 310, north of Balcarres, and tried to stop it, but the vehicle fled, and a spike belt had to be used.
28-year-old Thomas Chartrand faces five charges, and remains in custody, to appear in Regina Provincial Court again on April 7th.
