The Western Women’s Canadian Football League and their executive & board of directors have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 football season.
The decision was made based on a number of factors with the primary of which being the health and safety of all involved in the league.
Additional factors include the financial ramifications that the COVID-19 situation, has had on the teams and players to this point and will continue to have.
The 7 team league includes two teams in Saskatchewan: the Regina Riot and Saskatoon Valkyries and two in Manitoba: the Manitoba Fearless and Winnipeg Wolfpack.
The league is looking forward to returning and celebrating their 10th season in 2021.
