Manitoba Releases Latest Spring Thaw Outlook

Manitoba has released its second 2020 spring thaw outlook.
Infrastructure Minister Ron Schuler doesn’t expect any flooding on the Swan, Assiniboine, and Souris Rivers.
The Assiniboine River basin is expected to remain mostly in-bank, with possible over-bank high water covering agricultural land at a few locations.
But Schuler says average weather conditions this spring would result in water levels similar to 2006 on the Red River.
That year, Highway 75 was closed for 18 days.
