A 5-million dollar research fund has been announced today by the Manitoba government.

 Health Minister Cameron Friesen states that 700-thousand dollars will go towards developing a drug to fight COVID-19.

Meanwhile, over 3.5-million dollars will go towards clinical and applied research, and one-million dollars will go towards innovation projects such as developing diagnostic tools.
