Saskatchewan Government Announces Small Business Support Program

A new support program called the Saskatchewan Small Business Emergency Payment, has been announced by the provincial government.
Premier Scott Moe states the program will provide direct financial support for small and medium sized businesses.
Small and medium sized businesses that have had to temporary close or significantly curtail their operations due to the pandemic, can now receive a grant of up to 5-thousand dollars.
In March, Statistics Canada reported a loss of roughly 21-thousand jobs in Saskatchewan, and the unemployment rate jumped to 7.3%.
