COVID-19 Update, Tuesday, April 14
*2 new coronavirus cases in Saskatchewan, for a total of 300. 14 more people have recovered, for a total of 178. Just 4 deaths.
*4 new cases in Manitoba, for a total of 246. 99 people have recovered, and there have been 4 deaths.
*Nationally as of Monday, there were 24,804 cases, with 734 deaths. 428 thousand people have been tested in Canada.
*Federal officials say  outbreaks in long-term care homes are the most crucial COVID-19 problem coming out of the last two weeks.
*China has approved early-stage human tests for two experimental vaccines to combat the virus as new cases flare up there.
*India has extended a nation-wide lock down of 1.3 billion people to May 3rd.
*New York’s coronavirus death toll topped 10,000 and the worldwide number of confirmed cases hovered around 2 million.
