The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Canada is now 29,826 with 1,048 deaths, with almost 50% in long term care facilities.Of those, 90% are in people aged 60 and over. Federal officials also say 487 thousand people have been tested for the virus, with 6% confirmed positive.
