The City of Yorkton says it will never call residents directly regarding taxes, nor ask to make payments over the phone.

The message comes after the City received reports of people receiving such calls to arrange payments for City taxes.

City officials also remind people to be wary of callers asking for personal details, financial information, or to make payments by phone.
