*A 5-phase plan to re-open Saskatchewan starts May 4th, with retail businesses set to resume May 19th.
*The Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce applauds the plan, saying it’s a responsible strategy that will require patience in order for its execution to be successful.
*Thursday, there were 5 new cases in Saskatchewan, totaling 331. 270 people have recovered, and there are 57 active cases.
*Manitoba yesterday also reported 5 new cases for a total of 262. 174 people have recovered, and there are 82 active cases.
*In Canada, there are 42,098 cases and 2,147 deaths. 630 thousand people have been tested, with over 6.5% positive.
*Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has rolled out $1.1 billion in funding for a national medical and research strategy on COVID-19.
