Canada’s Total COVID-19 Cases Over 77-Thousand with Over 58-Hundred Deaths

The latest COVID-19 numbers show Canada has 77,306 confirmed cases with 5,805 deaths.
In a statement, Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam says labs across Canada have tested 1,319,000 people for COVID-19, with about 5 per cent of these testing positive, and 38,828 recoveries.
As the May long weekend is coming to a close, Dr. Tam is confident that Canadians will continue to practice physical distancing, staying at home as much as possible, and frequent hand washing.
She also encouraged everyone to not lose hope, as progress is being made with the new testing capabilities and a clinical trial for a vaccine candidate.
