It’s opening day for campgrounds in Saskatchewan provincial parks, but visitors will se some changes. Notably, beaches, playgrounds and swimming pools remaining closed, and an automatic check-in process is being implemented.
Meanwhile, Several historic sites in Saskatchewan run by Parks Canada open up today including Fort Walsh, Batoche and the Motherwell Homestead. Parks Canada’s Scott Whiting says due to COVID-19, the experience won’t be like what it should be, but it is still a chance to enjoy the outdoors and the scenery that each attraction provides.
