COVID-19 Update Tuesday June 2

*1 new case in Saskatchewan Monday, and one previously positive case retested as negative, leaving the total at 646. 6 more people have recovered, totaling 588. There are 47 active cases, and 11 deaths.

*Manitoba reported no new cases yesterday, leaving the total at 295. 278 people have recovered, there are 10 active cases and 7 deaths.

*As of last night, Canada had 91,705 cases of COVID-19, with 7,326 deaths and 49,726 recoveries.

*The federal government is going to release all $2.2 billion from the gas tax fund in one lump sum to municipalities to help fund infrastructure projects, rather than 2 payments as part of their COVID-19 response.

*In the U.S Monday, there were 1.8 million cases, 107,000 deaths and 412,000 recoveries.

*Worldwide, there are nearly 6.5 million cases, 371,000 deaths and 3 million recoveries.
