Curbside recycling will begin in Melville next month.
A recycling policy has been approved by Melville City Council, and will be in effect until a bylaw is approved in August or September that will incorporate both recycling and garbage pickup.
Ottenbreit Sanitation Services is delivering blue recycle carts, with an information package, to all residents ahead of July 3rd, the first day of the new residential single stream recycling program.
Single stream recycling is a system which residents can place all acceptable household recyclables into a 95 gallon recycle bin.
