Jail Time and Probation for Man who Admitted to Unlawful Confinement

A man who was injured while being arrested by the Kamsack RCMP, has admitted his guilt.
34-year-old Frederick Cote was in Yorkton yesterday (Wed), where he pled guilty to Assault, Uttering Threats, and Unlawful Confinement.
He was sentenced to an additional 90 days in jail, to be followed by 12 months of probation.
On November 28th, Mounties responded to a report of a woman being held against her will at a residence on the Cote First Nation.
When police arrived, the suspect escaped from the home through a window, and during a foot chase, he slipped on the ice and hit his head.
The Estevan Police Service has been called in to review the incident.
