Concerns Raised About Inappropriate Conduct and Language at Melville’s Skateboard Park

Melville City Council will address issues around the skateboard park on Prince Edward Street at a workshop meeting August 17.
A letter was submitted to City Council that pointed out inappropriate language and conduct at the park, so much in fact that parents with children leave within minutes because of the foul language used.
Also in the letter was a suggestion to appoint a contact person to monitor and resolve any problems.
In response, Director of Community Services Chris Bruce says his staff has been working with the RCMP to supervise activity at the park.
