Charges have been laid after a Fatal SUV and pedestrian collision near the Keeseekoose First Nation on Thursday

A 23 year old male from the Kamsack/Cote First Nation has died and a 29 year old Kamsack area man has been charged after a collision between a SUV and a pedestrian yesterday (Thurs) on Highway #8 near the Keeseekoose First Nation.

The driver of the SUV, Lewis Strongquill is charged with 1 count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death and 1 count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle over .08 causing death.

He will appear in Kamsack Provincial Court on October 6

Police and Duck Mountain Ambulance attended and located a deceased pedestrian on scene yesterday (Thurs)
