Court Appearance Made By Cote First Nation Man Accused of Evading Police

A Cote First Nation man has appeared in court again on numerous charges, in connection with three police pursuits.

On November 2nd, Foam Lake RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision, in which one driver fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle, which was confirmed to be stolen from Canora.

The suspect then stole a truck from a residence, headed to Yorkton on Highway 16, and continued to Fort Qu’Appelle, where he ran again, after hitting a stop sign.

Mounties eventually arrested the man after a lengthy standoff.

26-year-old Tyler Severight was in Wynyard Provincial Court yesterday (THURS), where he was remanded in custody, to appear again on September 17th.
