SaskTel has launched a new and improved version of their Wi-Fi service.
Optimum In-home Wi-Fi was unveiled today (Mon), and spokesperson Michelle Englot says it combines the latest breakthroughs in Wi-Fi technology to deliver better levels of coverage, performance and control.
“It provides the intelligence to allow customers to automatically optimize their devices in their home and ensure that they are connecting in each room of their house as well.” Englot said.
Optimum In-home Wi-Fi is available to all SaskTel internet subscribers, starting at 10 dollars a month, which Englot says is an add-on to a customer’s current package.
“This service would be for customers who have a large number of smart devices throughout their home, or customers who own larger properties where a single internet access point might not be a sufficient enough to cover the whole house,” she said.
She says a mobile app is included with the service, which allows customers to do, among other things, monitor the amount of bandwidth each device is consuming and troubleshoot home network issues immediately.
