Tourism statistics have been released for the city of Yorkton’s visitors information centre for June and July.
Over the two months, the city saw 268 visitors with 47 percent coming from within the province, an increase of 25 percent from 2019.
38 percent of visitors were from Manitoba and Alberta, while 3.7 percent were from the city itself.
While the visitor centre was closed for several months due to COVID-19, curbside service began on May 11th, and the visitor centre then re-opened on June 8th with hygiene and social distancing guidelines in place.
