Teenager Sets World Record for Most Rounds Sparring While Raising Funds

A 19-year-old from Esterhazy set a world record on August 29th.

Zachary Gehl set a new benchmark for the most rounds of boxing sparred with 150 rounds, beating the old mark of 143.

For 10 straight hours, he took on 16 opponents in 3 minute rounds with a 1 minute break.

Gehl did this to raise money for free kick boxing and jiu jitsu classes for teens who are experiencing bullying, as well as for his coach and local gym owner at Yorkton martial arts to help with the loss revenue caused by the COVID-19 pandemic this summer.

He raised just shy of 3-thousand dollars, enough for 153 free classes for any teen in need.
