Sask. NDP Question School Funding

The Saskatchewan NDP is concerned by the timing of the province’s announced 51 million dollars of approved funding for schools. Education critic Carla Beck says the money should have been allocated or spent at least a month or two ago, instead of announced on the first day of classes. The money comes from the COVID-19 contingency fund for education, and will go towards, among other things, sanitation, hiring 190 new staff, equipment and furniture.
