Outbreak Declared at Yorkton Regional Health Centre

An outbreak has been declared at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre.

The Saskatchewan Health Authority says the source of the outbreak at the hospital appears to be community transmission, and all health care workers identified as close contacts are being tested.

17 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Yorkton including 3 that are health care workers.

Services remain available at the hospital but visits to the facility as well as the Yorkton and District Nursing Home will be limited to family and/or support people for compassionate reasons.

This is latest outbreak, with others declared at the Yorkton Regional High School and the Pumphouse Athletic Club.
