Saskatchewan premier Scott Moe will pay a visit to Lieutenant Governor Russ Mirasty today to dissolve the Legislature. That will set the stage for a 27 day provincial election campaign to start Wednesday, with voting day October 26. That’s the shortest amount of time for an election as defined by law. At dissolution, the governing Saskatchewan Party had 46 seats, the opposition NDP 13, and there are 2 vacant seats. 33 seats are needed for a majority.
