Another person is making a run for Councillor in Yorkton.
After running in the 2016 civic election, Dustin Brears has decided to take another shot at running for a spot on Yorkton City Council.
Brears says he has always had an interest in politics and one of his priorities for the City, if elected onto Council, includes a safe navigation through the second wave of COVID-19, ensuring local businesses are treated fairly, and marketing the City as a place to start a business and raise a family.
He says after his first campaign in 2016, he has served on various committees, calling it a valuable learning experience in terms of seeing things from Council’s perspective as well as the citizens perspective.
while he is not going door-to-door because of COVID-19, he is campaigning in other ways.
“I do have an active Instagram account…as well as a website that I’m using as my main source of information, dustinbrears.com.” he said.
Civic election day is November 9th.
