Civic Election Deadline Approaches

Tomorrow at 4pm is the deadline to submit nomination papers for the civic election in Yorkton and other communities across Saskatchewan. Nomination papers can be downloaded from the city’s website or picked up from city hall, and they must be submitted to city clerk Jessica Matsalla. Prospective candidates must be a citizen of Yorkton, be 18-years-old or older, and have lived in Saskatchewan for six months prior to the election. Currently, there are nine candidates for city council, and two for mayor.
