Conditional Sentence Handed Down to Ontario Resident Accused of Role in Cyber-Attack on a Moosomin Business

An Ontario resident accused of involvement in a cyber-attack on a Moosomin business, has admitted his guilt.

The Pipestone Kin-Ability Centre worked closely with the RCMP to recover stolen funds, following a breach of their payroll system, that was discovered last October.

The attackers allegedly stole over 500-thousand dollars.

In Yorkton Provincial Court this (Tue) morning, 28-year-old Riley Lamontagne-Castillo pled guilty to one count of Laundering the Proceeds of Crime.

He received a 6-month conditional sentence, and must pay back about 26-thousand dollars.
