Sentencing has been handed down to a Muscowpetung First Nation man, charged following a serious assault on the reserve, in the fall of 2016.
Last December, 35-year-old Wade Morris Lerat pled guilty to Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Confinement.
In Regina Provincial Court yesterday (Wed), he was sentenced to nearly four years in prison.
Lerat and two other men, who have already been sentenced, were charged following an incident, which took place in September of 2016, in an isolated part of the reserve, that resulted in a 42-year-old man requiring hospital care.
