The Good Spirit School Division sent out a letter to parents, students and staff at Yorkdale Central School.
In response to a positive case of coronavirus at the school, public health is organizing a drive-thru mobile testing site at the school’s parking lot, according to the letter that was posted today (Fri) on the GSSD website.
Testing will start Monday morning (Oct. 19), with grade 5 students, their families and teachers given first priority, however all are welcome.
Pre-registration is mandatory and can be done on the GSSD website with the deadline Sunday (Oct. 18) at noon.
A second day of testing will be scheduled if there is an abundance of people registered.
Students and families are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. and staff during lunch or between 3:30 and 4 p.m.
The letter adds any child under 18 needs verbal consent from a parent or guardian to get tested and a health card is required when entering the site.
