Presidential candidate Joe Biden is ahead of Donald Trump right now in the polls leading up to the U.S. election on November 3rd and for the Saskatchewan Party Leader in the provincial election, there is just one concern with that.
Scott Moe says Biden has said before he would stop the Keystone XL pipeline.
He considers the KXL pipeline an important project for ensuring Western Canadian energy can get down into the Gulf Coast and to global markets, because he says, “we seem to have the inability to build that type of infrastructure across this nation to service not only Canadian markets, but also to put Canadian people to work.”
Moe hopes the Prime Minister and his team would advocate vigorously to ensure the U.S. sees the importance of this pipeline, and if elected, his government would do the same.
Moe made a stop in Saskatoon on his campaign trail this morning (Fri) to talk about investing in the economy through infrastructure funding, like $257-million for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital and $100-million to help build the Gordie Howe Bridge.
In Saskatoon, there has been discussion around building a new arena and convention centre downtown, which if elected, he would be open to having discussions with the City about.
Moe points to other projects where the province added some funding like Mosaic Stadium, the arena in Moose Jaw and a recreation centre in Prince Albert.
