Pukatawagan man charged with Second Degree Murder returns to court

A 22-year-old Pukatawagan man charged with Second Degree Murder, made another appearance in The Pas Provincial Court yesterday (MON).

The matter for August Thunder Caribou was adjourned to next Monday (26th), and he remains in custody.

Mounties were called to a wooded area of the community on the evening of June 26th, when they found the body of a 22-year-old woman.

Pukatawagan RCMP say August Thunder Caribou started working at their detachment June 5th, as a guard, and last worked a shift June 20th, but stress there is no link between his employment, the victim and the charges against him.
