Third Suspect on Trial in Connection to Robberies on Muscowpetung F.N. Will Appear in Court in the New Year

The third person ordered to stand trial, in connection with numerous robberies on the Muscowpetung First Nation last year, was back in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench yesterday (WED).

26-year-old Muscowpetung resident Jarrett Poitras was remanded in custody to appear again on January 29th.

His two co-accused – 28-year-old Jere Pinacie, of the Muscowpetung First Nation, along with Michael Obey, of Regina, are also in custody awaiting trial, though no dates have been set.

On March 4th, 2019, RCMP say a convenience store on the reserve was robbed of money and tobacco products, and then on July 23rd, the same store was robbed, and a home on the reserve was broken into.
