Snowstorm Creating Poor Road Conditions

The snowstorm pelting the Parkland Region with snow and gusty winds has created treacherous road conditions.

According to the Saskatchewan Highway Hotline, travel is not recommending in the Yorkton, Southey and Qu’Appelle areas.

Meanwhile on Manitoba Highway Hotline, travel is not recommended on Highway 5 heading to Roblin from the Saskatchewan-Manitoba border.

A Roblin RCMP Officer called GX94 News to say that they’ve responded to at least 3 semis getting stuck and a two-vehicle collision involving two half-tons, however, the good news was nobody was hurt.

A winter storm warning is in effect for much of the Parkland Region, with snowfall totals varying on the area from 10-20 to 25cm in some spots.
