CAA Urges Safety In School Zones

There may be fewer vehicles on the road because many people are working from home and most of us are following COVID-19 guidelines, but CAA Saskatchewan reminds drivers that the same safety rules in school zones still apply. Spokesperson Christine Niemczyk urges both drivers and pedestrians to eliminate anything that might be a distraction. In school pick-up zones, drivers should keep in mind that children may dart out between cars and students could also be obscured by tall snowbanks and vehicle exhaust. Niemczyk says the goal with CAA’s tips is to keep everyone safe.
