Sask. COVID Restrictions May End Friday

This Friday is when Saskatchewan’s current COVID-19 public health measures expire, and an announcement on what those restrictions will look like moving forward will happen early this week. While Health Minister Paul Merriman didn’t indicate whether those restrictions would remain the same or change, he says the numbers are trending in the wrong direction right now. Saskatchewan’s 7-day average of daily cases is approaching 300, which is much more than Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Saqib Shahab’s 120 daily case average target that he prefers for reducing restrictions.
