Independent Schools Receiving Additional $2.5-Million in Support Funding to Deal With Enrolment Increase Due to Pandemic

An uptick in enrolment, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, has resulted in the Province of Saskatchewan announcing another 2.5 million dollars in support funding to independent schools.

The money comes from the 150 million dollars available through the COVID-19 contingency fund for education, from provincial and federal funding, along with school division savings, resulting from the suspension of in-class learning in the spring.

This particular funding is specifically for independent schools, that have seen enrolment numbers rise during the pandemic, and the funding will be allocated based on enrolment.
