Prison Sentence for Grenfell Man who Admitted to Attempted Murder

The case against a Grenfell man charged with Attempted Murder and several firearm offences, has come to a close.

In Regina Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), 28-year-old Jessie Vaughn Gambler pled guilty to Attempted Murder Using a Prohibited Firearm, and was sentenced to an additional 1,782 days in federal prison.

Gambler was arrested August 22nd, in connection with an August 3rd incident, in Regina, in which a 24-year-old man, was the victim of an apparent shooting, and was taken to hospital.

A subsequent search of a Regina home led to the seizure of multiple items, including firearms and ammunition, and several people were charged, including the 24-year-old victim.
