Virden Man Sentenced to Prison for Manslaughter

Sentencing has been handed down in the case of a Virden man, who admitted to Manslaughter and Uttering Threats, in connection with a death in that town.

In Brandon yesterday (Mon), 24-year-old Bradley Tomms received 6 years and 3 months in prison, less 996 days time already served in custody.

The charges stem from an altercation in January of 2019, at a home in Virden, involving a 22-year-old Virden man and a 27-year-old man from a nearby First Nation, that sent both men to hospital, with serious injuries.

RCMP were notified the next day, that the 27-year-old man died.
